The Immersive, Multi-Sensory VR Experience Coming to The VOID Locations in North America, Europe and Southeast Asia in November
LINDON, Utah - November 4, 2019 - The VOID and Sony Pictures Virtual Reality (SPVR) announced today Jumanji: Reverse the Curse,
a one-of-a-kind, fully immersive virtual reality experience. The
all-new interactive experience is available this holiday season
exclusively at select VOID locations starting November 27, 2019.
In advance of the upcoming film Jumanji: The Next Level, arriving in U.S. theaters December 13, the immersive experience Jumanji: Reverse the Curse will give fans the ability to truly enter another game, taking on the form of its heroes, Dr. Bravestone, Ruby Roundhouse, Professor Oberon and “Mouse” Finbar, to save Jumanji from a new dark and mysterious villain. Fans will be enlisted on a daring quest to rescue the Scepter of Se’payu containing the Red Jewel of Jumanji and return it to the temple from which it was stolen. Pulled into the perils of Jumanji, players face challenges just like those that the avatars face in the movie – evading man-eating wildlife, navigating across treacherous landscape, battling evil henchmen – to survive and return to real life.
Jumanji: Reverse the Curse is the second title produced through the collaboration between SPVR and The VOID, which has earned a reputation as one of the most innovative pairings in the industry. The companies first teamed up to produce award winning Ghostbusters™: Dimension. This was not only the first studio project for The VOID but the world’s first commercial location based VR experience which was also based on a movie when it launched in summer 2016. Together, The VOID and SPVR are continuing to define the future of entertainment by exploring new and innovative ways to seamlessly combine physical and virtual space into an immersive and interactive world of the beloved story, Jumanji.
