Filmed at The Scarborough Bluffs just outside of Toronto, the video shifts between Doyle and his bandmates performing the song, and a group of friends enjoying a long summer day/night on the beach. “Summer Summer Night” was recorded at the end of this past winter at The Warehouse Studio in Vancouver with legendary producer Bob Rock, a first collaboration for the best-selling author, actor, just announced Order of Canada recipient and Great Big Sea frontman Doyle.
This October 17, Doyle will also release the follow-up to his best-selling 2014 memoir, Where I Belong, with A Newfoundlander In Canada: Always Going Somewhere, Always Coming Home. Picking up approximately where the last concluded, this book tells of Doyle’s first explorations outside of Newfoundland, experiencing the breadth of Canada for the first time.
Doyle and band will explore Canada this summer with selected tour dates, details below and further online at Doyle’s site. A full tour in support of A Week at The Warehouse is to be announced.
