A R I Z O N A TEAMS UP WITH ROBIN SCHULZ ON NEW REMIX
ALTERNATIVE POP TRIO CELEBRATE ATLANTIC/APG SIGNING
WITH REMIX OF SINGLE “I WAS WRONG”
NEW TRACK HERALDS EAGERLY AWAITED FULL-LENGTH DEBUT
Atlantic Records and Artist Publishing Group (APG) have officially
announced A R I Z O N A as the newest signees to the label’s legendary
roster. The New Jersey-based alternative pop trio is celebrating the
announcement with the release of “I Was Wrong (Robin Schulz Remix),”
which made its premiere yesterday via Dancing Astronaut http://bit.ly/29TpHhJ.
“I Was Wrong (Robin Schulz Remix)” is available today at all DSPs; A R I
Z O N A’s eagerly anticipated full-length Atlantic/APG debut project
will follow in the fall.
The original version of “I Was Wrong“
arrived earlier this year and fast proved a sensation, earning over 12
million total streams worldwide. The track’s official companion video –
directed by A R I Z O N A – debuted exclusively at NYLON,
which declared the clip to be “a sublime, muted package…the brilliance
of the song lies within its humble admission of wrongdoing and its
gentle delivery. There’s a genuine sense of regret but zero traces of
wallowing. The video does a fine job illustrating the highs, lows, and
in-betweens of a relationship. It finds strength in its sadness and
builds from there.” The video for “I Was Wrong” is streaming now at A R I Z O N A’s official YouTube channel.
A R I Z O N A has quickly earned pervasive praise for their ingenious
brand of contemporary electronic dance pop, a lush merger of sonic and
lyrical approaches that span generation and genre to form melodic
groove-laden soundscapes like none other. The trio first came together
at Boston’s prestigious Berklee College of Music and Emerson College,
their shared interests in production and songwriting uniting them as
much as their mutual New Jersey heritage. Songs like “Where I Wanna Be,” “People Crying Every Night,” and “Let Me Touch Your Fire”
soon earned millions of multi-platform streams as well as a fervent
online following from London to Los Angeles, Stockholm to Singapore.
Signed to Atlantic/APG in late 2015, A R I Z O N A have spent much of
the past year traversing the country in an old Toyota Corolla, which
they have reconditioned into a state-of-the-art mobile recording studio,
immersed in the creation of what will surely be an extraordinary and
unprecedented debut album.
